Frankel's first filly wins first time out
Frankel's very first foal born in 2014, Cunco, won on debut last month. At Catterick on 3rd June, it was the turn of Frankel's second foal born - and first filly - as Queen Kindly showed impressive speed to win over five furlongs first time out by five lengths.
"She is a nice filly. They said she was quick and they weren´t wrong," said jockey Jamie Spencer after the race.
Bred by Rabbah Bloodstock, owned by Jaber Abdullah and trained by Richard Fahey, Queen Kindly is the first foal out of dual Gr.2 winner Lady Of The Desert, who also placed three times at Gr.1 level, including second in the Haydock Sprint Cup and the Prix de l'Abbaye. She is out of the champion two-year-old filly Queen's Logic, who herself is also half-sister to champion three-year-old and older horse Dylan Thomas and Classic winner Homecoming Queen.
Frankel is now two winners from three starters. Majoris, trained by Hugo Palmer, was sixth over six furlongs at Haydock on 27th May, when, after being slowly out of the stalls and despite showing greenness, he ran on encouragingly in the closing stages and looked like further would suit.
